La Pine, Ore –As of this evening the Rosland Road, 4 miles northeast of La Pine, Ore, is 60 percent contained and remains at 393 acres in size.
Firefighters will continue to strengthen containment lines and mop-up hot spots within the interior of the fire tomorrow and for the next few days. Today, fire danger levels increased throughout Central Oregon to Extreme. Fire danger levels are expected to stay Extreme as fuels continue to dry this week with the anticipated high temperatures and lack of precipitation. The public is reminded to follow all Public Use Restrictions, which allow campfires only in developed campgrounds within fire rings.
