The Rosland Road Fire was declared 90% contained today at 393 acres in size. The fire, which began on Saturday at 2 p.m., began running hard but forward progress on fire was stopped by containing the fire within dozer lines and roads.
The Fire Danger Level on the Deschutes National Forest is EXTREME due to continuing hot and dry conditions. Fuels are very dry and any ignition source may cause a wildfire. People should use all caution while recreating on national forest lands to protect themselves, communities and the forest environment they enjoy.
