New fire near Boyd Cave/Swamp Wells Trailhead

A new wildfire start was reported just after 5 p.m. today. The fire is growing rapidly and at 8 p.m. it is approximately 50 acres in size. Many resources are responding to the fire including 2 large airtankers, 3 single engine air tankers, hand crews and dozers. The fire is going to be managed by a Type 3 Incident Management Team. Residents and others in the area should avoid interfering with resources responding to the fire and should avoid the area if possible. More information will be shared when known.
