Central Oregon — The Cottonwood Fire is now 40% contained and after mapping efforts today reduced in size to 2,316 acres.
Today, firefighters conducted mop-up operations and used aircraft where needed to check-up hotspots.
Highway 206 has reopened between Wasco and Condon. Please use caution if driving this route as firefighters are working in the area mopping up the Cottonwood Fire. Stay up-to-date on travel routes and potential delays at http://tripcheck.com.
